A law, an order or a date changed

Send the address of the official text that shows the change: the enrolled bill or chaptered law on the legislature's site, the Federal Register document, or the court order. We read it, update the data file, and the new reading date appears on every page that uses it.

What we cannot do

We are not the FDA or a state agency. We cannot test a product, tell you whether a food is safe for you or your child, or advise a business on compliance. For a reaction to a food, contact a health professional; to report a problem with a product, the FDA runs its own reporting service.

Using a tool on your own site

Schools, parent groups, libraries and newsrooms can show the state checker or the ingredient checker in an iframe at no cost: see the embed page.
